Welcome to this guided body scan meditation. Take a moment to find a comfortable seated or lying position that allows you to rest fully. Allow your eyes to gently close, or keep a soft focus on a point in front of you.

Begin by taking a deep, slow breath in through your nose, filling your lungs completely. Hold it for a moment, and then release it gently through your mouth.

Feel your entire body settling into the space around you. Let your weight sink into the chair or floor beneath you, letting go of the need to hold yourself up.

Bring your awareness down to your feet. Notice any sensations here without judgment. You might feel warmth, cool air, or gentle pressure. Breathe into your feet, and as you exhale, let any tension in your toes and soles melt away.

Move your attention up through your ankles, calves, and knees. Notice if you are holding any hidden tightness in your legs. With your next exhale, soften these muscles completely.

Rest in this feeling of relaxation in your lower body.

Now, shift your focus to your abdomen and lower back. This is an area where we often store stress. Take a deep breath in, feeling your belly expand. As you let the breath out, feel your lower back soften and release.

Travel higher up into your chest and upper back. Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest with each breath. Allow your breathing to remain steady and natural.

Bring your awareness to your shoulders. Shoulders often carry the weight of the day. Notice if they are pulled up tight toward your ears. Take a slow breath in, and as you exhale, allow your shoulders to drop heavily away from your neck.

Let that sensation of ease flow down through your arms, past your elbows, into your hands and fingertips.

Finally, move your attention to your neck, jaw, and face. Unclench your jaw. Soften the muscles around your eyes and smooth your forehead. Let your whole face relax.

Take a moment to feel your entire body connected as one peaceful, harmonious whole. From the crown of your head to the tips of your toes, feel the quiet stillness you have created.

If any remaining tension lingers, imagine breathing a cool, calm light directly into that spot, sweeping it away as you breathe out.

Stay with this feeling of deep rest for a few moments.

Gently begin to bring your awareness back to the room. Feel the surface supporting you. Wiggle your fingers and your toes. When you are ready, slowly open your eyes, taking this feeling of ease with you into the rest of your day.
