Welcome to this brief guided meditation to release tension and invite deep calm into your mind and body. Begin by finding a comfortable position, sitting tall or lying down smoothly. Allow your eyes to gently close, or soften your gaze toward the floor.
Take a deep, full breath in through your nose, filling your lungs completely. Hold it for a brief moment, and then slowly exhale through your mouth, letting everything go.
With every breath you take, feel yourself settling deeper into this present moment. Notice the contact your body makes with the surface beneath you. Feel supported, grounded, and safe.
Bring your attention now to the top of your head. Imagine a soft, warm light resting at the crown of your head, bringing a soothing sensation of total ease. Allow this peaceful warmth to flow downward into your forehead, relaxing your eyebrows and the delicate muscles around your eyes.
Let your jaw soften. Unclench your teeth and allow your tongue to rest comfortably. Feel all the tightness in your face simply melting away.
As you breathe out, guide this gentle wave of relaxation down into your neck and shoulders. Shoulders often carry the weight of your day. Allow them to drop away from your ears, releasing any stress or burden you have been holding.
Feel this soft energy travel down your arms, passing through your elbows, forearms, wrists, and palms, all the way to the tips of your fingers. Your arms feel heavy, warm, and deeply relaxed.
Now, turn your awareness to your chest and upper back. Feel the gentle rhythm of your heart beating and the soft rise and fall of your chest with each breath.
Allow your abdomen to soften completely. As you inhale, your belly expands effortlessly. As you exhale, it softens, letting go of any hidden tension stored deep within your core.
Let this ocean of calm flow down into your hips, your legs, your knees, and your calves. Feel the relaxation moving into your ankles, feet, and toes. Your entire body is now resting in a state of quiet tranquility.
If your mind wanders to thoughts or worries, simply acknowledge them without judgment. Gently anchor your attention back to the natural rhythm of your breath. Inhaling peace, exhaling tension.
Stay with this feeling of deep calm for a moment longer. Know that this stillness is always inside you, accessible whenever you need to return.
When you are ready, gently bring your awareness back to the room. Feel the surface beneath you. Slowly begin to wiggle your fingers and toes.
Take one final deep breath in, filling your entire body with fresh energy, and exhale softly. Gently open your eyes, feeling refreshed, grounded, and completely at peace.
