Find a comfortable seated position where you can remain still. Allow your spine to be tall but relaxed, creating space for your breath. Let your shoulders drop away from your ears and let your hands rest easily in your lap. Gently close your eyes.

Take a deep, intentional breath in through your nose, filling your lungs entirely. Exhale slowly through your mouth, releasing any tension you brought with you today.

Let your breath return to its natural rhythm. You do not need to force or change it. Just allow your body to breathe exactly as it wants to. There is nowhere else to be.

Bring your attention to the physical sensation of breathing. Notice where you feel the breath most distinctly right now. It might be the cool air entering your nostrils, the rise and fall of your chest, or the deep expansion of your belly.

Wherever that sensation is strongest, let your mind rest there. This is your anchor to the present moment. This is the safe place you can always return to when your mind wanders.

Follow the complete journey of a single breath. Feel the subtle beginning of the inhale as air enters your body. Notice how it peaks, pausing for just a fraction of a second, before turning into the exhale. Follow that release all the way to the very end.

Notice the temperature of the air. It is often slightly cool as it enters your nose and softly warmer as it leaves.

Keep your awareness resting lightly on this continuous wave of breath. In and out. Rising and falling. Expanding and releasing.

As you sit here in stillness, your mind will naturally wander. Thoughts will arise, sounds might catch your attention, or you might feel restless. This is completely normal and simply what minds do.

When you notice your attention has drifted, acknowledge the thought without any judgment. Then, gently and patiently, guide your focus back to your anchor.

Return to the feeling of the next inhale. Return to the feeling of the next exhale.

Every single time you bring your mind back, you are strengthening your awareness. You are actively choosing to be present.

Begin to expand your awareness outward. Feel the solid support of the surface beneath you. Notice the space your body takes up in the room.

Take one more intentional, deep breath in, filling yourself with fresh energy. And let it go completely with a soft sigh.

As we bring this meditation to a close, slowly invite some gentle movement into your fingers and your toes. Whenever you feel ready, softly open your eyes, bringing this calm presence into the rest of your day.
