Welcome to your morning mindfulness practice. As you begin this new day, allow yourself to find a comfortable position. You might be sitting on a cushion, a chair, or resting in bed. Allow your spine to be tall but relaxed, and gently let your eyes close.

Take a deep, full breath in through your nose, filling your lungs completely with fresh morning air.

And exhale slowly through your mouth, releasing any lingering sleepiness or tension from the night before.

Let your breathing return to its natural rhythm. You do not need to control or force the breath. Just notice the simple, gentle rise and fall of your chest.

Bring your awareness to the physical sensations of your body right now. Notice the points of contact between your body and the surface beneath you. Feel the weight of your body settling, grounding you at the very beginning of your day.

As the morning light begins to fill the world outside, invite a sense of brightness and clarity into your mind. Imagine a soft, warm light resting at the crown of your head, gently moving down through your body.

Feel this gentle awakening in your face, allowing your jaw to soften. Feel it flowing down your neck and into your shoulders, dissolving any tightness you might be holding.

Allow this calm awareness to travel down your arms, into your hands, through your torso, and all the way down to your feet. You are entirely here, fully present, and alive to the possibilities of this new day.

In this space of stillness, take a moment to observe your mind. Thoughts about the day ahead might already be surfacing. Simply notice them without getting caught up in their stories. Treat these thoughts like morning clouds passing quietly across a clear blue sky.

When you realize your attention has drifted into planning or worrying, gently guide your focus back to the sensation of your breath. The breath is your anchor to the present moment.

Now, quietly ask yourself what intention you would like to set for today. It might be a single word, like patience, kindness, focus, or peace. What quality do you want to bring to your tasks today?

Let that intention settle deep within your heart. Trust that it will guide you, even when the day gets busy or distracted.

Take another deep and deliberate breath in, gathering this morning clarity.

And exhale completely, feeling entirely ready and grounded.

As this practice comes to a close, begin to wiggle your fingers and toes, gently waking up the physical body. When you feel ready, slowly open your eyes, bringing this calm and focused presence into your beautiful new day.
