Welcome to this practice of gratitude. Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position. Allow your eyes to close gently. As you settle in, take a deep, slow breath in through your nose, filling your lungs completely. And release it slowly through your mouth. Allow your shoulders to drop and your face to soften.

Bring your attention to the simple fact that you are breathing. You do not have to work for this breath. It is freely given to you, moment by moment. Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest.

Take a moment to feel gratitude for this very breath, the vital energy that sustains your life.

Now, shift your awareness to your physical body. Notice the places where your body makes contact with the chair or the floor. You are supported. Feel the weight of gravity holding you securely in this space.

Silently offer a word of thanks to your body. It works tirelessly for you every single day. Your heart beats, your lungs breathe, and your senses allow you to experience the world. Appreciate this incredible vessel that carries you through life.

Bring to mind a simple comfort in your life that you often overlook. It might be the warmth of the sunlight coming through a window, a comfortable bed to sleep in, or the clean water you drink. Picture this simple comfort clearly in your mind.

Allow a genuine sense of appreciation to wash over you for this small, everyday blessing. Let the feeling of gratitude expand in your chest like a warm, glowing light.

Now, think of a person in your life who brings you peace, joy, or support. It could be a friend, a family member, a teacher, or even a kind stranger. Visualize their face. Notice how you feel when you think of them.

Send them a silent thank you. Acknowledge the gift of their presence in your life.

Expand your awareness now to the present moment itself. There is nowhere else you need to be. There is nothing else you need to do. You have this quiet time, just for you. Feel a sense of contentment with things exactly as they are right now.

You have everything you need in this moment. You are breathing. You are alive. You are enough.

Rest in this feeling of abundance. Let gratitude fill any spaces of tension or worry, washing them away and leaving only peace.

As we draw this practice to a close, take another deep, intentional breath in, gathering up this feeling of thankfulness.

And exhale slowly, letting that gratitude radiate outward into the space around you.

When you are ready, gently wiggle your fingers and toes, bringing movement back to your body. Open your eyes slowly, carrying this deep sense of appreciation with you into the rest of your day.
