Welcome. Find a comfortable position, either seated with your spine long, or lying down. Allow your body to settle in.

Gently close your eyes, or soften your gaze if that feels more comfortable for you.

Begin by bringing your awareness to the gentle rhythm of your breath. You don't need to change anything about it, just notice it.

Feel the air as it enters your nostrils, cool and fresh.

And feel the air as it leaves your body, warm and relaxed.

Notice the subtle rise and fall of your chest or abdomen with each inhale and exhale. There's no right or wrong way to breathe. Simply observe.

Allow your breath to be your anchor in this moment. As you inhale, you are present. As you exhale, you are present.

If your mind begins to wander, which is perfectly natural, simply acknowledge the thought without judgment. Then, gently guide your awareness back to the sensation of your breath.

Imagine each breath is a wave, washing over you. The inhale brings a sense of gentle awareness.

The exhale releases any tension you might be holding.

Feel the breath filling your lungs. Notice the expansion.

And feel the breath leaving your body. Notice the release.

With each inhale, you are grounding yourself more deeply in the present moment.

With each exhale, you are letting go of what no longer serves you.

Continue to follow the natural flow of your breath. You might notice where the breath feels most prominent in your body. Perhaps it's the tip of your nose, the back of your throat, the rise and fall of your chest, or the gentle movement of your belly.

There's nowhere else you need to be, and nothing else you need to do, except be here, with your breath.

Allow the sounds around you to fade into the background. They are simply part of the present experience.

Focus on the simple, physical sensation of breathing. Inhale. Exhale.

This breath is happening right now. This moment is all there is.

Feel the calm that can arise from simply being present with your breath. It's always available to you.

Imagine you are breathing in peace and breathing out any stress. Inhale peace.

Exhale stress.

Continue this gentle rhythm, noticing the subtle shifts in your breath.

As we begin to conclude this meditation, bring a gentle awareness back to your body. Feel the support beneath you.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Take a slightly deeper breath.

And when you are ready, gently open your eyes, carrying this sense of presence with you into the rest of your day.
