Welcome. Find a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down. Allow your body to settle.

Gently close your eyes, or soften your gaze. Take a deep breath in through your nose, filling your lungs.

And exhale slowly through your mouth, releasing any tension.

Again, a deep inhale. Feel your chest and belly expand.

And a slow exhale. Let go of anything that doesn't serve you in this moment.

Bring your awareness to your breath. Notice the natural rhythm. The rise and fall of your chest.

There's nothing you need to do, nowhere you need to be, except right here. With yourself. With your breath.

Now, let's begin to cultivate a sense of gratitude. We'll start by bringing to mind something simple, something in your immediate surroundings that you appreciate. Perhaps it's the softness of the chair beneath you. The warmth of the air on your skin.

Notice the sensation. Allow yourself to feel a gentle sense of appreciation for this comfort.

Take another deep breath in.

And exhale.

Now, gently shift your focus inward. Bring to mind someone in your life for whom you feel gratitude. This could be a close friend, a family member, a colleague, or even a stranger who offered a kind gesture.

Visualize this person. Remember their presence in your life. What qualities do you appreciate about them? Their kindness? Their laughter? Their support?

Allow that feeling of appreciation to fill you. Imagine sending that warmth and gratitude to them. Even if they are far away, your intention can reach them.

Now, let's broaden our scope. Think about a simple pleasure you experienced today, or perhaps yesterday. It could be the taste of your morning coffee. The beauty of a sunset. A moment of quiet peace.

Allow yourself to savor that memory. Feel the contentment that comes with appreciating these small joys.

Inhale deeply.

Exhale slowly.

Consider your own body. The incredible ways it supports you every single day. The ability to move, to see, to hear, to feel.

Bring your awareness to one part of your body, and offer it a silent thank you for its function. Perhaps your hands, capable of holding and creating. Or your legs, carrying you through your day.

Feel a sense of deep appreciation for the life force within you. For the breath that sustains you.

As we bring this meditation to a close, let this feeling of gratitude gently settle within you. Know that you can return to this practice anytime you wish. Carrying this sense of appreciation with you as you move forward.

Take one final deep breath in.

And a slow, complete exhale.

When you are ready, you can gently open your eyes, bringing this awareness of gratitude back into your day.
