Welcome. Find a comfortable position, either seated or lying down. Allow your body to settle.
Gently close your eyes, or soften your gaze.
Take a moment to arrive here, in this space, in this present moment.
Begin to bring your awareness to your breath. There’s nothing you need to change, nothing to force. Simply observe.
Notice the natural rhythm of your inhales and exhales.
Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest or abdomen with each breath.
Where do you feel the breath most distinctly?
Perhaps it’s at the tip of your nose, the sensation of air entering and leaving.
Or maybe it’s the expansion of your ribcage, or the subtle movement in your belly.
Just allow yourself to be present with this sensation.
As you inhale, you can acknowledge the coolness of the air.
And as you exhale, you might notice the warmth.
This is your anchor, this breath. A constant, gentle presence in every moment.
Your mind may wander, and that’s perfectly natural.
When you notice your thoughts drifting, gently acknowledge them without judgment.
Then, with kindness, guide your attention back to your breath.
Imagine your breath as a gentle wave, carrying you back to the shore of the present.
Feel the air fill your lungs, expanding your body.
And as you exhale, feel a sense of release.
Let go of any tension you might be holding.
Allow your shoulders to relax.
Soften your jaw.
Continue to follow the flow of your breath.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Each breath is a new moment, a fresh opportunity to be present.
You are here, now, breathing.
Imagine you are a calm ocean, and your breath is the gentle tide.
Each inhale is the tide coming in, bringing life and nourishment.
Each exhale is the tide going out, releasing what is no longer needed.
There is a natural rhythm, a continuous flow.
When you feel ready, begin to bring your awareness back to your surroundings.
Notice the weight of your body supported by the surface beneath you.
Feel the air on your skin.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
When you are ready, gently open your eyes.
Carry this sense of presence with you as you continue your day.
