Welcome. Find a comfortable position now. Allow your body to settle, perhaps sitting with your back supported, or lying down. Gently close your eyes, or soften your gaze.

Take a moment to notice the weight of your body, resting. Feel the contact points where you meet the surface beneath you. Just be here, in this moment.

Begin to bring your awareness to your breath. You don't need to change it in any way. Simply observe. Notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest, or abdomen. The cool air as it enters your nostrils, and the warmer air as it leaves.

Your breath is a constant companion, always there for you. A gentle anchor to the present.

Now, I invite you to bring to mind something you are grateful for. It can be something big, or something small. Something recent, or something from your past.

Perhaps it’s a person in your life. Someone who brings you joy, comfort, or support. Picture their face, or recall a cherished memory. Feel the warmth of that connection.

Allow yourself to truly experience the feeling of gratitude for this person. Let it fill you up.

Or perhaps, it's something in nature. The warmth of the sun on your skin, the gentle rustling of leaves, the vastness of the sky. Bring that image to mind.

Feel the peace and wonder that nature can inspire. Appreciate its beauty, its resilience, its constant presence.

Maybe it's a simple comfort. A warm cup of tea, a cozy blanket, a safe home. These everyday blessings are so important.

Allow the feeling of appreciation to expand within you. Notice where you feel this gratitude in your body. Is it in your chest? Your stomach? A general sense of lightness?

Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, release any tension or striving. Just allow yourself to receive this feeling of contentment.

Bring another thing to mind that you are grateful for. It could be an experience, a skill you possess, or an opportunity you've had.

Notice the details. What made this experience or opportunity so valuable to you? What did you learn?

Feel the richness that these things bring to your life. The sense of fulfillment, of purpose, of being cared for.

Gratitude is a powerful emotion. It shifts our perspective, allowing us to see the abundance that already exists.

As we come to the end of this meditation, carry this feeling of appreciation with you. Know that you can return to this practice anytime you wish. Simply by noticing what you are grateful for.

Take one more gentle breath in. And as you exhale, slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the room. Wiggle your fingers and toes. And when you feel ready, gently open your eyes.

May you carry this sense of gratitude and contentment with you throughout your day.
