Welcome. Find a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down. Allow your body to settle in.
Gently close your eyes, or soften your gaze if that feels more comfortable for you.
Take a deep breath in through your nose, filling your lungs completely.
And exhale slowly through your mouth, releasing any tension you might be holding onto.
Let's take another deep breath in, drawing in calm and peace.
And as you exhale, imagine all the worries and stresses of your day gently drifting away.
Now, bring your awareness to your breath. Simply observe the natural rhythm of your inhale and exhale. There's no need to change it, just notice it. Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest or abdomen with each breath.
As you continue to breathe, allow your body to soften. Notice any areas of tightness or discomfort. With each exhale, imagine those areas releasing, becoming looser, more relaxed.
Let your shoulders drop away from your ears. Feel your jaw unclench. Allow your forehead to smooth out.
Bring your attention to your breath once more. Imagine it's a gentle wave, washing over you, cleansing you. Inhale peace, exhale stress.
Now, let's bring to mind something that brought you joy or a moment of peace today, no matter how small. It could be a warm cup of tea, a beautiful sight, or a kind word.
Savor that feeling for a moment. Allow it to fill your awareness.
As you breathe, let that feeling of warmth and peace expand throughout your body. Imagine it spreading from your chest, down your arms, to your fingertips.
Let it move down through your torso, into your legs, and all the way to your toes.
You are safe. You are at peace. The worries of the day can wait. For now, you are simply here, present with your breath and this feeling of calm.
Continue to breathe gently, allowing the breath to anchor you in this moment of relaxation. If your mind wanders, simply acknowledge the thought without judgment and gently guide your awareness back to your breath.
Feel your body becoming heavier, more grounded. Each breath is an invitation to let go a little more.
Inhale calm, exhale tension.
Inhale peace, exhale worry.
You are releasing the day's burdens, one breath at a time.
Begin to gently bring your awareness back to your surroundings. Notice the sounds around you.
Feel the support beneath you.
When you are ready, slowly flutter your eyelids open. Carry this sense of peace with you as you move forward.
