Welcome. Find a comfortable position. You can be seated or lying down. Allow your body to settle.
Gently close your eyes, or soften your gaze.
Begin to bring your awareness to your breath. There is nothing you need to do, nowhere you need to be, except right here, right now.
Notice the gentle inhale, and the slow, releasing exhale.
As you breathe in, imagine you are breathing in calm, peaceful energy.
And as you breathe out, imagine you are releasing any tension, any worries, any stress from your day.
Let your breath be your anchor. Each inhale, a moment of presence. Each exhale, a moment of letting go.
Bring your attention to your body. Notice any areas where you are holding tension. Perhaps in your shoulders, your jaw, or your forehead.
With each exhale, consciously invite those areas to soften. Imagine the tension melting away, like ice on a warm day.
Feel your shoulders drop away from your ears.
Allow your jaw to relax, unhinging slightly.
Smooth out your forehead, releasing any furrows.
Now, bring your awareness to the mental chatter that might be present. Thoughts about work, about responsibilities, about things that have happened or might happen.
These thoughts are like clouds drifting across the sky. You do not need to hold onto them, analyze them, or judge them.
Simply acknowledge their presence, and then let them drift by. Imagine them floating away with your exhale.
Inhale peace, exhale worries.
Inhale calm, exhale stress.
You are safe. You are supported. This moment is all that matters.
Imagine a gentle stream flowing before you. And with each breath out, you place one of your worries onto a leaf, and watch it float gently down the stream, away from you.
See that worry about the deadline? Place it on a leaf. Watch it go.
See that concern about a conversation? Place it on another leaf. Watch it drift away.
Feel the lightness that begins to emerge as you release these burdens. This space is yours to inhabit.
Allow yourself to sink deeper into this feeling of spaciousness and ease.
Your breath continues its natural rhythm, a steady, calming presence.
You are not your thoughts. You are not your worries. You are the vast, still awareness observing them.
Bring your awareness back to the feeling of your body. Notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest and abdomen.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
When you are ready, slowly open your eyes. Carry this feeling of peace and calm with you as you move forward.
