Welcome. Find a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down. Allow your body to settle, to feel the support beneath you. Close your eyes gently, or soften your gaze.

Begin to bring your awareness to your breath. Notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest or abdomen with each inhale and exhale. There's nothing you need to do, nowhere you need to be, except right here, right now.

Feel the air as it enters your nostrils. Perhaps it's cool. Feel it as it leaves your body. Perhaps it's warmer. Simply observe.

With each inhale, imagine you are drawing in a sense of calm and peace. With each exhale, release any tension you are holding onto.

Let's focus on releasing the physical manifestations of stress. Begin with your feet. Notice any tightness or discomfort in your toes, your arches, your heels. On your next exhale, imagine that tension melting away, flowing out through the soles of your feet.

Move your awareness up to your ankles and calves. Feel the muscles here. As you exhale, let them soften and release. Imagine a wave of relaxation washing up your legs.

Bring your attention to your knees and thighs. Notice any gripping or holding. With each exhale, allow these large muscles to relax, to become heavy and at ease.

Now, your hips and pelvis. This is an area where we often store a lot of our stress. Feel the weight of your body here. As you breathe out, let go of any clenching or tightness. Allow your hips to sink further into your support.

Move your awareness up your spine, noticing your lower back, your mid-back, your upper back. Feel any areas of strain or fatigue. With every exhale, release that tension. Imagine your spine lengthening and becoming more flexible.

Now, bring your attention to your abdomen. Feel the gentle movement with your breath. Let your belly be soft. Release any holding or tension in your stomach muscles.

Move your awareness to your chest and shoulders. Often, our shoulders hunch forward when we are stressed. As you exhale, consciously allow your shoulders to drop away from your ears. Feel them becoming soft and relaxed.

Notice your arms, your elbows, your forearms, your wrists, and your hands. Wiggle your fingers gently. Feel any tension in your hands. As you exhale, let it dissipate, like smoke drifting away.

Now, bring your awareness to your neck and throat. Release any tightness here. Allow your jaw to unclog. Let your tongue rest comfortably in your mouth.

Finally, your face. Relax your forehead. Unclench your jaw. Soften the muscles around your eyes and your mouth. Allow your entire face to feel smooth and peaceful.

You are now a vessel of pure relaxation. Imagine all the worries and stresses of the day gathering in a cloud above you. With a deep inhale, you draw in calm. With a long, slow exhale, you release that cloud of stress and worries, watching it float away, diminishing with every passing moment.

Feel the lightness that begins to fill your being as that stress dissipates. There is nothing you need to fix, nothing you need to solve, in this moment. Only this feeling of ease.

Continue to breathe, allowing this feeling of peace to permeate every cell of your body. You are safe. You are calm. You are at peace.

Stay with this feeling for a few more moments. Savor this stillness. You can return to this feeling of calm whenever you wish, simply by focusing on your breath.

When you are ready, you can begin to bring gentle movement back into your fingers and toes. Slowly, take a deeper breath. And when you are ready, gently open your eyes, carrying this sense of peace with you.
