Welcome. Find a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down. Allow your body to settle, to find a sense of ease.

Gently close your eyes, or soften your gaze if that feels more comfortable.

Begin to bring your awareness to your breath. Notice the natural rhythm of your inhales and exhales. There’s no need to change anything, just observe.

Feel the air entering your nostrils, cool and refreshing. Notice it as it travels down into your lungs, filling your body with life. And then feel the gentle release as you exhale, a slow and steady outward flow.

With each breath, allow yourself to become a little more present. A little more here, in this moment.

Now, I invite you to bring to mind something you are grateful for today. It doesn’t have to be grand or extraordinary. It can be something simple, something small.

Perhaps it’s the warmth of the sun on your skin, or the comfort of your home. Maybe it’s a kind word from a friend, or the taste of your morning coffee.

Allow that feeling of gratitude to gently arise within you. Imagine it like a soft light, expanding in your chest.

As you hold this thought, this feeling of gratitude, notice what sensations arise in your body. Do you feel a lightness? A warmth? A sense of peace?

Let that feeling deepen. Allow it to permeate your being. There is so much in life to appreciate, even in the midst of challenges.

Now, bring to mind another thing you are grateful for. This could be a person who has made a positive impact on your life.

Think of their qualities, their actions, their presence. Feel the appreciation you have for them in your heart. Imagine sending them a silent wave of gratitude.

This connection, this positive influence, is a gift. And your gratitude is a way of acknowledging that gift.

Let’s consider something even broader. Perhaps you are grateful for the ability to experience beauty in the world. The sight of a flower, the sound of music, the vastness of the sky.

These moments of beauty are always available to us, if we choose to notice them. And the act of noticing them cultivates a deep sense of contentment.

Bring your awareness back to your breath. Notice how your gratitude feels now. Has it shifted your energy? Has it brought a sense of calm?

As we begin to conclude this meditation, I encourage you to carry this feeling of gratitude with you. Let it be a gentle companion throughout your day.

Remember that cultivating appreciation is a practice, and with each practice, it grows stronger. You are worthy of all the good things in your life.

When you are ready, gently begin to bring your awareness back to the room. Wiggle your fingers and toes.

And when you feel ready, slowly open your eyes. Carrying this sense of gratitude forward.
