Welcome. Find a comfortable position, seated or lying down. Allow your body to settle.
Gently close your eyes, or soften your gaze. Begin to bring your awareness to your breath. Just notice it. No need to change anything. Simply observe the natural rhythm of your inhale and exhale.
Feel the air entering your nostrils, cool and refreshing. And feel it leaving, a little warmer, carrying away any tension.
As you continue to breathe, imagine that with each inhale, you are drawing in clarity. Like a pure, bright light, filling your lungs, your chest, your entire being.
And with each exhale, imagine you are releasing any mental fog, any scattered thoughts, any distractions that have been holding you back. Letting them drift away, like clouds in the sky.
Focus now on the sensation of your breath. The rise and fall of your chest, or your abdomen. Let this become your anchor.
If your mind wanders, as minds are wont to do, that’s perfectly alright. Simply acknowledge the thought, and gently guide your attention back to the breath. There is no judgment here. Just gentle redirection.
Imagine your mind as a vast, open sky. Thoughts are like birds flying across it. They appear, they pass, and they disappear. They do not define the sky.
Feel the space between your thoughts. A moment of stillness, of pure awareness. This is where clarity resides. This is where focus is born.
With each breath, you are cultivating this inner stillness. You are strengthening your ability to concentrate. You are sharpening your mental edge.
Notice the feeling of calm spreading through you. A sense of groundedness. A quiet confidence in your ability to focus.
Allow this feeling of clarity to permeate your entire being. From the top of your head, down to the tips of your toes.
You are capable of great focus. You possess a mind that can cut through distractions. You are able to find stillness amidst the noise.
Bring your attention back to the feeling of your body. The points of contact with the surface beneath you.
Take a slightly deeper breath in. And as you exhale, allow yourself to gently return to the awareness of the room around you.
When you are ready, slowly open your eyes, bringing this sense of focus and clarity with you into the rest of your day.
